Today I am giving you a “Do Your Wardrobe a Favor” tip:  purchase a pencil skirt right this instant…go ahead, open up another window, go to your favorite retailer’s site, and put a pencil skirt (or three) in your cart.  Your closet and your figure will thank you for it.  And, if you can tolerate me being even bossier,  get yourself to your local Loft (or order online if you wear petites) to purchase the cheetah print skirt I am wearing in these pictures.  (It is truly is one of the most flattering pieces I have ever purchased.)

This is a look that works well for a variety of work environments and would easily transition, as is, to drinks with friends or date night. I chose to keep the overall look classic and simple since the skirt has such a bold print. (That’s not to say I won’t be experimenting with color in future wears, but for those of you who a printed skirt would be enough of a departure from your normal attire you can never go wrong with pairing it with a classic black shirt for an overall sophisticated look.)

Not only is this skirt ultra flattering, but it also allows for ease of dress.  Have a busy day full of work and social obligations?  A similar skirt paired with a classically cut shirt can become your go-to look for days when you simply don’t have time to think about what to wear.  Throw on some key accessories and you are ready to face the day’s challenges in style!
